Hello friends! As you can see, this space has been rather quiet lately. Mostly, because life has been full of lots of really good things, leaving me little time to get blog posts up as frequently as I hoped. Another reason is I have been working on a new blog for Seasons of Joy- check it out HERE! It will streamline my ability to get photos posted and I couldn't be more thrilled about that. Also, as we are starting a new season of life here at home of having a baby around (!!), I'm excited to share occasionally a few natural and DIY things we use in our home for health and wellness. Be sure to follow along!
As always, may your day and heart be filled with light!! xoxo Kayla Lauren
"Every soul we long to reach
||Grace Alone- Scott brown||
Just over one year ago, my parents were standing on foreign soil, obeying again a still small whisper that has been in their hearts for many years. As sweet little Eliza was put in their arms that sweltering hot Chinese summer day, our family was changed forever. This little one- like every child across the globe should be- was needed. Loved. So very, very wanted.
A lot of people view adoption as a romantic process of adding a sweet little person to your family- boy, it is amazingly sweet, but far from easy and romantic. Honestly, it is the most heart wrenching, yet deeply fulfilling thing I have witnessed my family walk through. Waiting and waiting for someone you love so much, yet haven't yet met in person, being one of the hardest parts. Just like the song says- it "is only by HIS grace alone." When God calls someone to something- He gives exactly what that person, couple, or family unit needs to accomplish that calling. And by HIS grace, love wins each time. All the hard work seems to fade, as you watch God transform a precious life before your eyes as they experience that grace and love they now have in abundance. The same love that our heavenly father has for us- His children whom he adopts into His kingdom family. It is beautiful.
To celebrate her one year home we did a little photo shoot- releasing balloons of "love" to back to China. In China awaits another precious little one- our brother! - and we couldn't help but send him some love too. Her sweet and full of life personality is so clearly captured in how she frantically waves and blows kisses to the balloons as they float into the sunset!
Forever grateful to be your big sister, baby girl. xo Kayla
